Job Description:
As a Enterprise Architect, you will directly help delivery teams and clients helping with transforming their business and solving complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of cloud platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.
The enterprise architect is also responsible for cataloging, developing, coordinating, communicating, maintaining, and enforcing overall enterprise architecture models, representations, initiatives, capabilities, and components to adequately perform the organization’s business and technology activities. You should have excellent technical, analytical, and project management skills. You should also have strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Your Role and Responsibilities
- Creating business architecture models to reflect the organization’s strategies and goals and creating and implementing business visions and goals.
- Assisting in designing applications required to automate business processes and meet business needs. The end design may be required to run on multiple platforms and may have multiple software packages and custom components
- Evaluating systems engineering, talent recruiting, and accounting models for discrepancies and vulnerabilities.
- Suggesting ideas to reduce costs in the IT and business landscape.
- Modernization solutions for hybrid cloud platforms (on-prem, off-prem, dedicated cloud).
- Applications-related quality, performance, availability, scalability, and integrity. Also responsible for the functional interface to applications and for ensuring application usability.
- Design of the modernization strategy, application, database, tools, and integration components.
- Advise adopting the right tools for various migration methods (re-host, re-factor, re-architect, re-platform, containerization, etc.).
- Helping the delivery team with the application modernization methodology and project planning.
- Organizing training to improve employees’ knowledge and skills for future organizational growth.
- Ensuring the efficiency, security, and support of the organization’s goals.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- A bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
- 20+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience in distributed applications and 5+ years of experience with cloud application architecture, infrastructure architecture, database architecture, and networking.
- Ability to own a portion of the end-to-end technical solution of the overall modernization effort.
- Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) and methodologies.
- Proficiency in modeling tools and techniques for visualizing architecture (e.g., UML, BPMN).
- Deep understanding of various technology domains, including applications, databases, networks, and security.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Effective leadership and interpersonal abilities to influence and collaborate across different teams and levels of the organization.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are often a plus
- Certified in the Azure/GCP/AWS Cloud environment.
- Possess confident analytical, creative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented, providing suggestions and solutions in areas of software development, use, and maintenance.
- Experience in system architecture may be advantageous.
